Bricklaying in the rain?

Is it okay to do bricklaying in the rain? Im supposed to build a small pond tomorrow and people tell me different things.......

It can be done in the rain, but you'll end up making a mess! There are a number of factors involved, type of bricks used, drizzle or heavy rain etc. For instance if you were building with a blue engineer, then you would have no chance. As soon as they get wet, the mortar would not go off and they would sink under there own weight, with the mortar squeezing out and running down the face.

My advice would be, make sure everything is covered up, and wait for a nice day
