Q:

Boiler Service - How Often?

A quick question: How often should I be having my combi boiler services (4 years old) and how much can I expect to pay from a reputable trade? What qualifications are necessary to complete the job? Thanks

Hi there, you should be having the boiler serviced by a gas safe registered engineer every 12 months not only does this keep up with safety with the boiler but it is a requirement with most manufacturers in order to keep the warranty in place

Hi , gas boiler and fires manufactures recommend that their products to be serviced during regular intervals at least yearly
This is very important and can be a life saving in some cases .
Gas appliances like any product can go wrong anytime and as a result someone or a whole family can be seriously harmed or even die that's why making sure your gas appliances are yearly safety checked and serviced to make sure everything is in working order and safe .
Also a service can save and prevent costly repairs as the engineer who comes to service the boiler can pick up any components starting to wear out ,or any small internal leaks ....etc that would damage other components would be picked up at earlier stage and resolved earlier .
The price of a good proper yearly service is £75. .
I hope My answer clarified everything ,if you have more enquiries please do not hesitate to get in touch .

Hi.

It is recommended that all gas appliances are services yearly. Whilst it is important to service the boiler. I should remember to have a gas fire done if you have one. Most people spend money and time looking after the boiler. But they forget all about the open flued gas fire that has more chance of killing you, should it develop a fault.

With regards the cost. The average cost to service a room sealed gas boiler is £50-£60.00.

Hope this helps.

Hiya all gas appliances should be serviced every year this will help maintain and prolong the boilers life but more crucially keep you and your family safe. As for prices these can vary by a huge amount depending on where you reside and will also depend on if the boiler requires any seals or parts changing.

You're gas boiler should be serviced every year to keep the warrenty in date if it has one. Also it's important to check the products of combustion to make sure you're boiler is not producing carbon monoxide that could lead to death, for a service you're looking around £45 to £60 depending on what boiler and what's required to keep it per manufactures requirements.

Hi,

Manufactures recommend yearly service,.
Our company works only on Vokera boilers.
As we work directly with the manufactures, I would always advise a customer to speak directly with the manufactures of your appliance to ensure you are recommended the correct person for the job.

Hope this helps.

Hi Matthew,
Manufacturers recommend boilers are serviced every year. Realistically end users such as yourself do neglect gas appliances until they cause a problem.

I would advise that you have a gas safety inspection every year at an approximate cost of £60 depending where you live... This would check all gas appliances in your property for gas safety and highlight any issues, then an engineer would advise if you need a service on any appliance inspected.

I hope this helps.
